What’s biting other than redfish?

Spring is here and the fishing is good.   Red fish bite year round but go to deep holes when the weather cools.

Trout and sheephead begin biting when the water begins warming.  Mackerel move with the water temperature and flounder will move off shore.

We went out yesterday and had a great day!  Pictures coming soon.  Glad we didn’t wait until today now that the rain has moved in.  Port St. Joe is currently under a River Flood warning to if you’re out and about keep your eyes open and stay in touch with the weather man (or app!)

Time is running out, scallop season ends soon!

Don’t forget that scallop season ends on 9/24/2013 so there isn’t much time to get yours.  There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday and Friday increasing to 50% on Saturday so the season may end sooner than expected because of the weather.

Give us a call to see if you can schedule a scalloping trip before time runs out!

Scalloping is a near shore activity so 5 hours will run $350.

Great fishing day in St. Joe Bay!

It wasn’t the most beautiful day but today’s outing with some young men from Tennessee was a “catching” trip.  The catch of the day included speckled trout and bluefish.

Nice speckled trout!
Nice Bluefish!
Another speckled trout!

Scallop season will be over in a week! This year has been good and plentiful. We will be posting pictures soon. If you’ve been thinking about trying your hand at scalloping, give us a call and do it before time runs out.
